We are looking for aFinance Team Manager to join our Finance team— apassionate team player who inspires, challenges, and sets clear expectations, working 36 hours per week.
This is what you do
You radiate a desire to grow even better together. Together with your team, you are capable of establishing an effective and innovative P&C cycle that creates a “wow” effect across the board, the executive board, and the organization. You know better than anyone what’s going on in the organization and in the field; you’re bursting with energy and vision, and you can translate that vision into concrete action plans for both the short and long term.
Together with your team, you’ll work innovatively to further solidify the foundation and, building on that, continue to develop our financial products and services. You’ll focus on fostering a sense of ownership and on continuously improving our processes and services. In recent years, significant developments have been set in motion, both in terms of content and within the team. You will continue this strategy and course to further develop and position the team. The first steps have been taken, but there is still more than enough room for your own input and initiative.
In doing so, you support your people by helping them stay focused, holding up a mirror to them when necessary, and giving them the confidence to make their best contribution. So you let go when you can and hold on when you must. You know how to get the best out of people by leveraging their talents, bring sharp focus when it comes to delivering results, and help provide both strength and counterbalance when things get tense. You stand behind and drive ambitious team goals and ensure optimal collaboration within and across teams. Together with the team, you translate your strong vision for finance into a solid strategy, paving the way for the future. You do this with courage and drive. The positive, energetic vibe that surrounds you stimulates the necessary professional and personal development of your people, both as individuals and as a team.
By fostering connections, you’ll help build even better internal services for the other teams at the Municipality of Zeist. After all, you’re part of a larger whole. That’s why you’re also an active member of the Municipality of Zeist’s Broad Management Consultation Group, where you contribute to the shared vision and ongoing professional development that everyone is working hard to achieve.
This is your team
The Finance team is brimming with ambition. The Finance team consists of about 18 colleagues, divided into two clusters: a Financial Management cluster, which handles accounting (accounts receivable and accounts payable) and has its own coordinator, and a Financial Policy cluster, which handles advisory services, P&C documents, and policy development. Certain administrative and record-keeping tasks are handled by the Be-On team (operational support), with whom we work closely. Together with the team, we strive to provide above-average service—that one unexpected extra step. There is a wealth of knowledge, expertise, and experience. There is also plenty of room for innovation: new developments are quickly adopted. Reliable, committed, and well-connected to the organization, administration, and society—that’s what the team stands for!
This is you

We encourage you to bring your own perspective and value to this, so we welcome anyone with the right experience and qualities for the role. No matter where you’re from, what your background, lifestyle, or faith is, if you see yourself in the profile, apply! In Zeist, you’ll work with a sense of personal responsibility and be supported by the organization, so you can continue to grow as a person and as a professional.
