As Team Leader of the Center for Career & Development at the KNAW, you will ensure that learning and development are properly prioritized. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a small team (a career development advisor and an assistant) and shape the professional development of our KNAW staff.
You will be responsible for implementing a leadership vision that aligns with our organization’s strategic objectives. This vision has just been developed, so we are on the verge of implementation, and you will have the opportunity to help shape it further.
The main challenges:
For this challenging role, you possess a strong command of the subject matter (university-level education and thinking) and can help the team excel. You have broad, up-to-date knowledge of leadership development, learning and development, and the feedback cycle. You have gained this knowledge and experience in a similarly complex, knowledge-intensive environment.
An attractive position for 4–5 days a week within a motivated and enthusiastic team. This team consists of a team leader, a consultant, and an assistant, and may be expanded in the future. The team works closely with other teams and disciplines within the HR department and the KNAW. The HR department has 18 employees who frequently consult with one another, brainstorm, and exchange ideas.

The Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW) is a forum of and for outstanding scientists. The salary is
Depending on education and experience, a minimum of €5,247.00 and a maximum of €
$6,737.00 gross per month for full-time employment (scale 12 of the collective bargaining agreement)
Dutch Universities/KNAW). This does not include the 8% vacation pay, 8.3% year-end bonus, travel allowance, internet and remote work allowance, and pension contributions to the ABP.
