Within the Zaanstreek-Waterland Safety Region (VrZW), the fire department, police, GHOR, and municipalities in the Zaanstreek-Waterland region work together to prepare for and respond to incidents, crises, and disasters. The Technology and Logistics (T&L) team consists of approximately 43 employees, 19 of whom report directly to the T&L team, while the remaining employees are assigned to the team based on their operational roles and perform administrative duties within T&L. The team operates two service centers (Zaandam and Purmerend). The team is responsible for the procurement, management, and maintenance of equipment, personal protective equipment, and tools for the fire department. This includes inspecting fire hydrants, maintaining the vehicle fleet, and managing communication equipment and measuring devices. Logistics, transportation, and various other matters involving coordination between fire stations and suppliers are also part of the team’s responsibilities.
There is a lot happening in the field of T&L, and it is constantly evolving. The societal trend toward sustainability will continue here as well in the coming years. We are already considering what this means for investments, resource management, and team organization.
As a T&L team leader, you will lead a group of motivated employees who are experts in their field. She will develop and translate strategic objectives into concrete plans for the team. She will ensure that employees can make a difference in this regard. It is also her responsibility to provide direction and support to the employees. She also builds relationships with the team’s internal and external partners, with a focus on fostering collaboration and customer-friendliness.
As a team leader, you play a key, guiding role in the continued development of the T&L team.

For this position, it is important that you:
A salary of up to €6,544 gross per month, depending on qualifications and experience (pay grade 12, based on a 36-hour workweek).
In addition to your salary, you will receive a discretionary budget equal to 18.63% of your salary. You can choose to have this paid out or use it, for example, to purchase additional time off. VrZW encourages opportunities for your professional development.
