We are currently looking for a:
Experienced Team Leader, Online Marketing & Social Media (0.8–1.0 FTE / 30–37.5 hours)
Together with your team, you’ll work to spread our message with the goal of reaching, engaging, inspiring, and empowering as many change-makers as possible.
What will you be doing?
- Within the framework of the overall policy plan, you will develop an online strategy designed to maximize our impact. This includes online visibility, participating in the public debate online, generating online leads, and recruiting members.
- You will develop a strategy for the optimal use of online channels for our campaigns and activities: from social media to email, and from our website to our intranet.
- You will be responsible for developing and implementing an integrated strategy for the use of organic and paid content.
- You will oversee and translate this policy into clear, practical guidelines for content and marketing activities.
- As part of the online marketing & social media team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and aligning the work.
- You will create and optimize online promotional campaigns to generate leads and increase online donations.
- You will oversee the development of relevant calls to action for our target audiences, the redesign of customer journeys, and projects related to conversion optimization (SEO, SEA, web forms).
- You are responsible for all HR matters related to the online marketing and social media team.
- You will oversee the budget for online campaigns, activities, and social media, and manage media buying.
What are you bringing?
- You have a bachelor's degree in communication or marketing.
- You have at least 7 years of professional experience as an online marketer and social media strategist.
- You have a knack for and experience with online public communication, campaigning, and fundraising.
- You know how to build a community through marketing and social media.
- You have knowledge of relevant systems, such as CRM, MA, and CMS systems, and you stay up to date on trends and developments.
- You have experience leading a team of professionals in a coaching and collaborative manner.
- You have experience in strategic consulting and know how to persuade people using data-driven insights.
- You have experience managing projects and processes.
- You have experience managing suppliers and research firms.
- You have a bird's-eye view of what's happening within the organization and make connections; you coordinate and maintain relationships with other teams.

Who do you work with?
You will lead a team of 9 people: 3 online marketers, 2 webmasters, and 3 content creators and social media experts. You will also collaborate with the data team, communications specialists, fundraisers, and colleagues from the Movement Building department. You will report to the Head of Marketing & Communications.
Drawing on your expertise in online marketing and social media, you will play a role in one or more projects for the “Big Polluters” campaign. This means you will also be working with a wide range of colleagues, including press officers, campaigners, lobbyists, and content specialists.

- A salary ranging from €4,004 to €6,161 for full-time employment, depending on your knowledge and experience. At Milieudefensie, this is a 37.5-hour workweek.
