The Master’s team consists of ten staff members, each of whom, from their respective positions, facilitates the processes of the Master’s program and internationalization activities for the degree programs.

The Master’s team consists of ten staff members, each of whom, from their respective roles, facilitates the processes related to the Master’s program and internationalization activities for the degree programs.
The Master’s program in medicine is constantly evolving. For example, program-based assessments were recently introduced, and graduating with honors has been abolished. The curriculum will also be revised to remain aligned with a changing healthcare landscape and evolving demand for physicians (including outside of hospitals). You will be working within the Faculty of Medicine at VU Amsterdam. The Faculty of Medicine is responsible for the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in Medicine, as well as the Master’s programs in Oncology, Personalized Medicine, and Epidemiology.
The faculty comprises several departments, including Education & Student Affairs (O&S). The O&S department is responsible for educational support processes, particularly in the areas of logistics, secretarial work, and administration. The O&S department consists of three teams: the Bachelor’s Team, the Master’s Team, and the Education Service Center Team.
The Master’s program in medicine is a three-year, intensive program. After completing the Bachelor’s degree in medicine, each resident follows an individualized study plan that includes scheduled rotations. These rotations take place at a large number of hospitals with which the VU Faculty of Medicine collaborates. The staff members on your team plan these study tracks and ensure they run smoothly by, among other things, providing comprehensive information to students and hospitals.
