About Indebuurt033

Indebuurt033 is a partnership between B&A, MEE Dichtbij, and Welzin, and coordinates welfare and volunteer work in the city on behalf of the municipality of Amersfoort. We provide information and advice, offer light support, and facilitate connections. We do this together with residents, volunteers, and partners in the neighborhood. In this way, we are building a resilient city where everyone can participate—both independently and together. 

The Role: Team Leader with a Vision for the Future

As a team leader, you will manage 4 to 5 core teams, each comprising a mix of professionals: neighborhood networkers, youth workers, participation brokers, participation staff from the “Buitenkast” program, and prevention workers. They work on a neighborhood-specific basis to strengthen the social fabric in Amersfoort. They do this in close collaboration with colleagues from our four information centers and the urban team. In addition, there is close collaboration with neighborhood partners such as the Amersfoort Neighborhood Team Foundation, SRO, the ABC Foundation, and the Municipal Health Service (GGD). You support the teams in their development and help them respond flexibly to what is happening in the neighborhood.

We work on behalf of the City of Amersfoort and collaborate as partners to respond to developments in the city. As a team leader, you play a key role in linking policy objectives to on-the-ground work in the neighborhood. Strategic workforce planning is crucial in this regard: you help ensure that the right people are in the right places to contribute to the desired impact.

You’re joining us at a pivotal moment. Indebuurt033 is transitioning from a traditional line-and-staff model to a mission-driven way of working. Indebuurt033 is developing a future-proof organizational structure that prioritizes social challenges and neighborhood-focused collaboration. For the team leader, this means:

  • the focus is shifting toward facilitating teams in addressing substantive challenges;
  • you work with the parent organizations to manage personnel and HR policy;
  • As a team leader, you are increasingly moving toward a role in which you translate data and insights from the neighborhood into strategic action and, from there, back into practice;
  • supports your professionals in taking ownership and self-organization;
  • you build a substantive link between neighborhood plans, assignments, and implementation;
  • You focus on impact, effectiveness, and agility.

In short: you remain close to and engaged with your team, but you’ll increasingly focus on the interplay between content, objectives, and execution. So we’re looking for someone who can adapt to this shift—or better yet, someone who wants to help shape it. You don’t need to know everything yet, but it’s important that you’re curious, open to learning, and flexible in your leadership style.

What do you bring to the table?

  • HBO+ or university level of work and thinking;
  • Experience with project-based or task-oriented work in a complex environment;
  • Experience in providing comprehensive leadership to professionals is a must;
  • An interest in the social sector (experience is a plus);
  • Political and social sensitivity;
  • The ability to give others space while staying on course;
  • A warm, supportive leadership style that values both professional excellence and well-being;
  • The ability to reflect and a passion for collaborating with various partners.
