Give teams the space to grow. And bring justice for everyone one step closer. Every single day.
There’s a difference between standing for something and actively contributing to it. You’re the one who makes that difference—through your exemplary behavior, inclusive leadership, and ability to inspire others. When you apply those qualities to a social cause, you make a real impact.
That goal? A fair solution for everyone.
We are looking for a team leader who is willing to lead two of our teams with vision and decisiveness. Our legal advisors are here for anyone who needs legal assistance. We know who we’re doing this for—and we know where we want to go. What we need now is a leader who can help shape a new way of working: more autonomy, collaboration, and connection.
Our services are constantly evolving. We are increasingly focusing on collaboration with other organizations in the region and experimenting with new approaches so that we can provide even better support to those seeking justice.
As a team leader, you guide and support your teams through these changes. You create the right conditions for collaboration, connection, and professional growth. You provide direction while also allowing room for autonomy. You operate on a foundation of trust and know how to build support for new ways of working. It energizes you to see the quality of service improve—thanks to your team’s dedication and talent.
You will lead two teams of (senior) legal advisors. They assist people seeking legal advice by phone, at the front desk, and during office hours. You will be an integral part of these teams and will be highly visible, accessible, and approachable to your colleagues.
The team in Tilburg is based at our office right next to Central Station and consists of 8 colleagues, several of whom are (relatively) new to the organization. The Breda team has 10 colleagues, several of whom have been working at the Loket for many years. Both teams work independently but support each other when needed—for example, with front-desk staffing or phone support. As a team leader, it’s important that you provide stability and are committed to these teams for the long term.
Together with the offices in Rotterdam, Dordrecht, and Middelburg, this team makes up the Southwest region. Within this region, you’ll work as part of the regional management team (RMT), which consists of the regional manager, the regional coordinator, three fellow team leaders, and an HR advisor. Together, you’ll set the course and implement the regional plan. Inspiration and collaboration are key—so you’re never on your own.
You think and work at the university level, but applicants with a bachelor’s degree are also more than welcome. You have leadership experience and know how to support professionals in their development. In addition to tactical leadership, you also find fulfillment in the more operational aspects of the role.
You’re curious and ask the right questions to get a clear picture of situations and opportunities. You know what your team needs to do its job well—and you support them with a focus on both results and people. You also have experience in the legal and/or social sector. Knowledge of or a strong affinity with our target audience is a plus: you’re choosing this role because you genuinely want to help people move forward.
Finally, networking is energizing: together with the regional director, you’ll forge connections, maintain them, and build meaningful partnerships with organizations in the region. This requires flexibility, initiative, and the ability to adapt to change.
You will play a key role in an organization that makes a difference in society. This comes with appropriate compensation:
A full-time position with us is 36 hours per week, but a 32-hour contract is also an option.
