We are currently looking for a:
Fundraising Team Leader (0.8–1.0 FTE / 30–37.5 hours)
The fundraising team is expanding due to our ambitious plans to significantly increase our membership and revenue. We are looking for an experienced and driven team leader who is ready to go all out to achieve this goal together with the team.
What will you be doing?

- You translate the fundraising strategy into clear, actionable guidelines for your team and ensure it is implemented effectively.
- You will oversee various channels such as street outreach, online, direct mail, and telemarketing, and manage the entire process of donor recruitment, management, retention, and communication.
- You will be responsible for managing relationships with institutional funds.
- As part of the fundraising team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and aligning the work.
- You will develop new private fundraising initiatives that align with the campaign objectives. You will oversee projects such as devising relevant calls to action and "Always On" campaigns, revamping customer journeys, conversion optimization initiatives, and the selection of a new CRM system.
- You will advocate for fundraising efforts to other departments and management. You will ensure that fundraising is an integral part of Milieudefensie’s (campaign) activities.
- You are responsible for HR matters related to the fundraising team.
- You will monitor the fundraising budget and prepare reports for management and the executive board.
What are you bringing?
- You have completed a relevant degree program at the associate degree level.
- You have at least 7 years of work experience as a fundraiser at another charity or nonprofit organization, including several years in a managerial role.
- You have a bird's-eye view of what's happening within the organization and make connections; you coordinate and maintain relationships with other teams.
- You have experience leading a team of professionals in a coaching and collaborative manner.
- You have experience in strategic consulting and know how to persuade people using data-driven insights.
- You have experience managing suppliers and research firms.
Even if you don’t identify with all of these points, do you still think this position is a good fit for you? We strongly encourage you to apply!
Who do you work with?

You will also collaborate with online marketers, social media experts, data specialists, communications specialists, and colleagues from the Movement Building department.
You will report to the Head of Communications & Fundraising. Drawing on your expertise in fundraising, you will play a role in one or more projects within the “Big Polluters” campaign. This means you will also collaborate with a wide range of colleagues, including press officers, campaigners, lobbyists, and content specialists.
