About the SER

TheSocial and Economic Council (SER)is the primary advisory body to the government and parliament on socio-economic issues. The Council brings together business leaders, employees, and independent members. The SER has a staff of approximately 150 full-time equivalents. About the Communications Department
The Communications Department is responsible for corporate communications, including press and public relations, communications strategy and spokesperson services, organizing events, editing and designing publications, maintaining multiple websites and social media, and providing information and news. The Communications Department consists of two teams: the Communications Advisory & Spokesperson Team and the Content Management Team. A position has opened up in the department for a Content Management Team Leader.

What will you be doing?

You will be responsible for leading the multidisciplinary Content Management team (13 employees). Using a cross-media approach, this team creates and optimizes content on a daily basis for the SER websites, all online and social media channels, publications, conferences, and information and news services.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • You will work on refining the online communication strategy, develop this policy into an action plan, translate organizational policy into online objectives, create a content strategy for each medium, and work with the team to ensure its implementation.
  • Working closely with the team, you will ensure the innovative development and implementation of all (online) media, in line with current trends and developments.
  • You will ensure that the team continues to grow under your enthusiastic leadership. The focus will be on aligning content across all channels, improving user-friendliness, SEO optimization, B2B strategies, and finding the right tone of voice to achieve the best online results.
  • You will develop efficient work processes for the team, monitor the scheduling of projects from various internal clients, and serve as a strategic advisor to them.
  • You will provide management reports on the results of online and social media campaigns.
  • Together with the Head of Communications, you will help ensure effective coordination and collaboration between the two teams in the Communications department.

What do you bring to the table?

  • You have an academic level of work and thinking and have completed a relevant degree program.
  • You have at least 3 years of work experience in a managerial role.
  • You have experience with data-driven and project-based work.
  • You have a solid understanding of and expertise in online communication and cross-media strategy.
  • You have a coaching leadership style that focuses on the individual development of your team members, enabling the team to grow under your guidance.
  • You are capable of further developing our current online resources and professionalizing them in a consistent manner.
  • You enjoy working with others and are proactive in setting priorities; you’re good at keeping track of the big picture and are focused on achieving goals.
  • You have the ability to communicate your vision within the organization in a tactful and engaging manner.

What do we offer you?

This is a position for a minimum of 32 hours and a maximum of 38 hours per week, initially for one year, with the possibility of a permanent contract. The salary depends on your knowledge and experience and ranges from a minimum of €4,505 to a maximum of €5,912 gross per month for full-time employment (38 hours per week).
