Team Leader, Bijlmer Center
Venzo&Swazoom Welzijn is dedicated to creating the best opportunities for the development of children, youth, and (young) adults in Amsterdam Zuidoost. What will you be doing?
As Team Leader of the Bijlmer Centrum area team, you will empower the team of approximately 12 employees to perform at their best. You will provide guidance, coaching, and motivation as needed, and ensure the right staffing levels in terms of both quality and quantity.
Together with your fellow team leaders and team members, you will develop annual plans and team goals, monitor results, identify bottlenecks, and discuss these issues. You will serve as the point of contact for the area team, both internally and externally. Naturally, you will contribute to the preparation of the budget and be responsible for monitoring budget spending.
You identify social trends and actively contribute ideas on how to develop and improve our services. You represent Venzo&Swazoom Welzijn to clients, formal partners, and informal networks.
What are we looking for in a candidate?
We are looking for a collaborative, solution-oriented new colleague who has completed at least a bachelor’s degree. You should also meet the following requirements:
- You have demonstrable and relevant work experience in a managerial role;
- You have an understanding of Amsterdam’s social services sector and are open to other cultures, while being aware of the potential effects of cultural differences;
- You are naturally driven to bring out the best in your employees and yourself, and you have excellent interpersonal skills and analytical abilities;
- You are clear and results-oriented, and you make decisions easily.
- You are able to handle stress, flexible, and have a positive attitude;
- You have strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
What do we offer you?
- An independent role in a meaningful environment, with a focus on your professional growth and opportunities for training;
- A one-year contract with the intention of establishing a long-term partnership;
- A salary based on the Social Work Collective Bargaining Agreement (scale 10) ranging from a minimum of €3,720 to a maximum of €5,483 gross per month, based on a 36-hour workweek. The starting salary depends on education and experience;
- A solid pension plan;
- Various employer benefits in accordance with the Social Work Collective Bargaining Agreement, including an individual flexible spending allowance of 16.3% (which includes vacation pay) and a career development budget.
