Join us as a team leader at our leading birth center in Utrecht (28–36 hours per week). Lead a dedicated team, play a crucial role in driving our growth, and implement innovative improvements to patient care. This is your chance to shape the future of St. Antonius Birth Care.
As a team leader, you are the driving force behind all processes within the Maternity Care department and continuously strive to improve our care delivery by applying lean principles. You lead the team of clinical midwives and nurse practitioners (25 FTE). Together, you will continue to build on professional development, innovation, and transformation within Maternity Care in the coming years, both at Antonius Hospital and within the Santeon hospital group. You are part of the Maternity Care management team and work together toward our growth target of 4,000 births per year. You ensure sound operational management in which staff, resources, and budgets are utilized optimally. Innovation and policy development are your priorities, and you actively contribute to quality improvements by participating in various working groups and projects. As an inspiring and unifying leader, you create the framework within which your team can thrive and develop professionally and personally in the context of all the changes and challenging future plans.
Working at St. Antonius means working at one of the largest top-tier clinical teaching hospitals in the Netherlands. In addition to providing the best patient care, we place a strong emphasis on innovation and research. We offer (highly) complex care at multiple locations. Our clinical priorities are cardiovascular, pulmonary, and oncology. We operate on a foundation of trust, we learn together to improve, and we value diversity. In this way, our more than 6,500 dedicated colleagues work every day to fulfill our mission of “working together to ensure quality of care.”
St. Antonius Geboortezorg is a modern birthing center in Utrecht, on its way to becoming one of the largest birthing centers in the Netherlands. In June of this year, we opened our new facility, which now features 37 delivery suites, 20 neonatal suites, and a triage unit. This provides us with sufficient capacity to grow in the coming years.
We provide family-integrated care, in which parents actively participate in their child’s care. In addition to secondary care for pregnant women, newborns, and postpartum women, we also provide highly complex care in a multidisciplinary setting. With medium care, high care, and post-ICU care, even the most vulnerable newborns receive the best possible care. Additionally, outpatient deliveries take place at primary care practices. Our team of 220 specialized professionals, including nurses, physicians, midwives, ultrasound technicians, lactation consultants, and physician assistants, works together to ensure the best possible start in life.
You are a strong yet approachable leader, an inspirer and a connector who guides the team through all changes with great enthusiasm. You work independently within the managerial framework and have a clear vision of leadership. Using your creativity and analytical skills, you work on the further development of maternity care, design new work processes, and develop your team. You switch smoothly between different tasks and responsibilities and set the right priorities in the best interests of your team and the patients. Your sensitivity, decisiveness, and commitment create a safe work environment where people enjoy working together to provide the best care for our patients.
