Cordaan is looking for a Strategic Business Partner for Learning and Development who will not only take charge of day-to-day operations but also serve as the right-hand person to the strategic manager.
What will you be doing?
As a strategic business partner in Learning and Development, you combine vision, decisiveness, and leadership within a large, complex organization. You are the driving force behind the further development and positioning of the Learning and Development department at Cordaan. You navigate smoothly through an environment with diverse stakeholders and complex dynamics, building support at all levels within the organization. You inspire employees to bring out the best in themselves and shape a department that plays a crucial role in Cordaan’s future. As a sparring partner and the manager’s primary deputy, you also fulfill an important strategic role within the Management Team.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing strategy:You have a strong ability to translate strategic plans into concrete actions, while building support among employees, teams, and management levels within a large and diverse organization.
- Leadership and Consulting:You will lead your own team of practice consultants and trainers, guide them in their professional and personal development, and encourage them to excel. At the same time, you will communicate the strategic vision to other teams and departments, serving in an advisory and coordinating role.
- Quality and Process Optimization:You ensure compliance with frameworks, laws, regulations, and quality standards, and focus on process optimization. In doing so, you lay a solid foundation for a future-proof department.
- Stakeholder management and networking:You navigate an organization with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and are able to effectively bridge divergent interests. You actively participate in committees and working groups and translate organization-wide goals into concrete actions. In addition, you represent the department at the regional level and foster collaboration at all levels.
- Change Management:In an organization where change is constant, you take the lead in change initiatives. You build support among various stakeholders and know how to turn resistance into engagement and progress.
- Quick thinking and a hands-on approach:You move effortlessly between strategic meetings and operational tasks. With your pragmatic approach and focus on solutions, you know how to deliver results and drive change.

What do we offer?
The terms of employment for the position of Learning and Development Team Leader are in accordance with the VVT collective bargaining agreement:
- A one-year contract for32 to 36 hoursper week with the possibility of a permanent position
- A salary ranging from a minimum of€3,768.00to a maximum of€6,748.00(FWG 60 and FWG 65) based on a 36-hour workweek
- An end-of-year bonus equal to 8.33% of gross annual income and an annual vacation allowance of 8%;
- Pension accrual through the Pensioenfonds Zorg & Welzijn pension fund, a group discount on your health insurance, and travel expense reimbursement in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement;
- Personal development through targeted training, courses, and education via Good Habitz, among others;
- A €250 net bonus for referring a colleague!
- A bicycle plan and bicycle repair reimbursement.
Where will you be working?
Cordaan’s headquarters are located in the Havengebouw, right next to Amsterdam Central Station. As a team leader in Learning and Development, you will report to the Learning and Development Manager and play a crucial role in achieving our strategic goals.
