Who are we?

Friendly Fire is a dynamic and growing company with a casual yet professional work environment.

From our office in Amsterdam, we are actively involved in organizing concerts and events, as well as booking and managing artists from the Netherlands and abroad. We work with and for artists such as Snoop Dogg, Måneskin, Fontaines D.C., Roxy Dekker, Ne-Yo, Kensington, Krezip, Khruangbin, Cigarettes After Sex, The 1975, Phoebe Bridgers, and many others. For these artists, we arrange performances at clubs and festivals, plan their careers, and maintain contact with other stakeholders such as agents, record labels, (tour) managers, publishers, etc.

We also produce events such as Best Kept Secret Festival, Live At Amsterdamse Bos, Hit the City, and Loose Ends; we’re involved in booking hundreds of Dutch and international artists for the club and festival scene; and we have a theater division.

Friendly Fire is part of FKP Scorpio, a European group of concert and festival organizers with offices in various European countries.

Who are we looking for?

We are urgently seeking a Senior Production Manager (f/x/m) for our organization. As Senior Production Manager, you will be responsible for the overall execution of our festivals and outdoor events. You will oversee the transition from concept to reality and manage all production disciplines.

You serve as the link between project management, suppliers, the crew, and internal teams. You work within established budgets, ensure safety and sustainability, maintain an overview of complex schedules, and make sure every event runs smoothly from the initial procurement to the final financial settlement.

The job includes the following key responsibilities, among others:

  • Full responsibility for all site and technical production aspects of our outdoor events, including the management of any external production partners.
  • Oversee construction and demolition schedules as well as logistics plans.
  • Ensuring quality, safety, sustainability, and compliance with all relevant guidelines throughout the production process.
  • Procurement of all production resources, materials, and personnel in accordance with established budgets.
  • Preparing, monitoring, and managing production budgets.
  • Act as a troubleshooter for all production-related matters leading up to, during, and after the event.
  • Act as a central hub connecting various parties both within and outside the organization.
  • Auditioning riders, negotiating with artists and tour managers.
  • Managing and coordinating production teams, and working closely with both creative departments and suppliers.

Who are you?

  • You have at least 5 years of experience as a production manager in the festival, event, or live entertainment industry.
  • You have a solid professional foundation and experience that enable you to manage complex productions.
  •  You can switch between operational details and the bigger picture.
  • You are a natural leader, communicate clearly, and enjoy working with diverse teams and external partners.
  • You are solution-oriented, able to handle stress, creative, and decisive.
  • You have an interest in sustainability and see opportunities to improve processes.
  • You thrive in an organization with flat hierarchies and a high degree of responsibility.
  • Profile: At least 5 years of experience as a (senior) production manager in the events industry.
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English.
  • Knowledge of technical production processes and CAD software is a plus.
  • Stress-resistant and versatile.

Diversity

Friendly Fire strives to be a diverse organization, so it doesn’t matter to us where you were born, what you believe in, or who you love. We’re curious about your talent and your ideas.

We’re also very interested in hearing about other personal qualities and skills you can bring to our team. We encourage everyone to apply, even if you don’t fully meet all the job requirements.

What do we offer you?

  • A 40-hour workweek (part-time positions available upon request).
  • Competitive salary; the range for this position is €3,500–€5,000.
  • A one-year contract with the possibility of a permanent position.
  • Work in a young, ambitious, and dynamic team.
  • A beautiful office in Amsterdam North where we work in a hybrid model.
  • Great benefits, such as a group pension plan, a professional development budget, travel reimbursement, the option to work remotely, and, of course, access to the concerts and events we help organize.
