As a senior policy officer, you’ll work on the industry’s transition and, in particular, on a tailored approach for major CO2 emitters. We are working toward a sustainable industry by 2050: an industry that is both climate-neutral and competitive. In this way, you will make a valuable contribution to a major ecological, social, and economic challenge.
You will be part of the deal team for Tata Steel Netherlands (TSN) and will work with the team to develop a customized agreement with TSN aimed at creating a sustainable, clean, and future-proof steel company in IJmuiden. This involves close collaboration with TSN, management teams within the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy (EZK), as well as with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management, the Province of North Holland, the North Sea Canal Area Environmental Service, and local municipalities. Given the social and political significance of this issue, additional support is needed on the policy side.
We are looking for someone to join our team who can work independently and decisively, has relevant experience, and whom we can rely on within the team—someone to whom we can entrust tasks without the need for a lengthy training period.

Salary level: Grade 12
Monthly salary: Min. €4,214 – Max. €6,227 (gross)
Employment status: Permanent employment contract
Minimum number of hours per week: 32
Maximum number of hours per week: 36
In addition to your salary, you will receive an Individual Choice Budget (ICB). The ICB consists of money (16.37% of your gross annual salary) and time.
