Senior Change Communication Consultant
Are you a communications advisor who thrives on change initiatives and organizational development? And are you known for your ability to truly engage people in these efforts? Do you want to help innovate the organizational culture within the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Policy (EZK) and contribute to a department that embraces innovative approaches? If so, we’re looking for you as a senior change communications advisor!
As a change communication consultant, you will ensure that the strategy, principles, and working methods developed within the “Ready for the Future” change program are embraced as widely as possible by colleagues throughout the organization and other stakeholders. To this end, you will provide advice and contribute ideas regarding the communication and change approaches, as these are closely intertwined and must therefore be aligned as effectively as possible. In addition, you will position the new “Ready for the Future” Program Management team in such a way that it is recognized as a home base, but not as the owner of the change program. Of course, as an organization, we undertake change collectively, and the program management team serves as the driving force in this process.
Over the past few months, we have developed a broad-brush communication strategy. We are now looking for a driven consultant to refine this strategy, translate it into concrete communication activities that meet the information needs of our target groups, and implement them. You will do this sometimes independently, and sometimes in collaboration with colleagues from, for example, the Communications Department. We are therefore looking for someone with a strategic mindset who enjoys hands-on work. Support is available. You will participate in various meetings within and outside the program directorate and maintain an overview of various programs and initiatives within and outside the ministry. There is a lot going on, and it is your job to ensure that the organization is well-informed about the program without “overwhelming” employees.
In addition to having a strong strategic mindset, you will also be responsible for creating content, ranging from intranet posts to commissioning media productions. You will also contribute ideas for organizing various events that support the program and handle the related communications. In all of this, you will work closely with colleagues in the Communications Department and coordinate with internal and corporate communications advisors.
We are looking for an experienced communications advisor who will oversee and implement internal change communications at various levels (strategic, tactical, and operational). You will quickly build a broad network within the organization and connect with the various stakeholders in a positive, enthusiastic manner. Within the program management team, you will collaborate and contribute based on your communication expertise, putting your ideas into practice. In addition, you will maintain connections with the rest of the organization, such as the Communications Department and communication professionals from programs related to “Ready for the Future.”
What else we ask for:
In addition to your salary, you will receive an Individual Choice Budget (ICB). The ICB consists of money (16.37% of your gross annual salary) and time. With the ICB, you can make choices that suit you and customize part of your employment benefits. For example, you can choose to have a portion of your monthly income paid out whenever you wish. You can also convert this budget into leave and vice versa, or spend it on tax-friendly purposes. The Dutch government is strongly committed to personal growth and career development and offers numerous opportunities for this. Secondary employment conditions include various study facilities, company fitness programs, full reimbursement of your public transportation costs for commuting, and partially paid parental leave.
What else do we offer you:
