Your new team
The Retail Department within the Communications & Marketing division is responsible for curating and selling the merchandise collection through the Rijksmuseum’s stores, the online shop, and wholesale customers. In addition, the department is responsible for retail licensing policy and managing licensing partners. The team consists of seven enthusiastic colleagues who work hard to achieve the commercial goals of the various sales channels.
Position In this new role as Retail Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the revenue, sales volume, and profit margin of Rijksmuseum merchandise sold through wholesale channels. You will also be responsible for the royalty revenue generated by our licensing partners.

Terms of Employment The salary ranges from a minimum of €3,130 to a maximum of €4,094 gross per month (pay scale 10), based on a 36-hour workweek, excluding vacation pay and year-end bonus. The museum collective bargaining agreement applies. The appointment is for a period of one year, after which it will be evaluated for renewal. Travel expenses outside Amsterdam are reimbursed at 60%.
