We are looking for an entrepreneurial regional manager for MEE Samen in the West region. Are you an experienced leader, a skilled networker, and a strong advocate for an inclusive society? If so, please read on.

MEE Samen is here for anyone who faces challenges due to a disability, such as a mild intellectual disability, autism, or acquired brain injury. And for the people around them. We support them in all areas of life. MEE Samen supports people with disabilities so that they can (re)gain control of their lives and participate in society. We do this, among other things, by strengthening people’s own strengths and their networks and by increasing their self-reliance.

We serve as an expert partner in the field of inclusion for municipalities and organizations. We make more possible by helping them operate in an inclusive manner and better organize society for people with disabilities. MEE Samen has extensive knowledge about recognizing and working with people with disabilities, such as mild intellectual disabilities (MID), autism (ASD), acquired brain injury (ABI), or a chronic illness.

What will you be doing?

As Regional Manager, you will be responsible for the West Region, an area stretching from Almere to Nijkerk and Wageningen. Operations are carried out by various teams comprising a total of approximately 55 colleagues. In addition to consultants, the region also employs a contract manager, a trainer, an account manager, and a project leader. Together with various partners in the region, you will work to foster strong collaboration.

The teams are contracted through a procurement contract or grant. Municipalities are key partners in this regard. In addition, agreements are made with care administration offices under the Long-Term Care Act. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have a clear understanding of market opportunities. You are focused on continuity and innovation and are responsible for partnership agreements and successfully participating in bidding processes. You set the region’s budget and periodically report on your region’s results to the director.

As a regional manager, you look beyond your own region. You also think from an organization-wide perspective, as a member of the management team. You work closely with your colleagues in this team in an approachable manner. Key priorities for the Management Team in the coming period include managing relationships with existing clients, providing appropriate responses to questions from residents and municipalities, developing employee talent, and implementing market-oriented working practices. You ensure that work processes are aligned with one another and with the organization, communicate transparently, and involve employees in this process. You identify opportunities, trends, and evolving needs, propose potential new projects and services, and actively drive innovation. Internally, you contribute to the change processes underway, grounded in the pillars of a learning organization: responsibilities close to the work and the entrepreneurial spirit of the professionals.

Our key priorities for the coming period are: continuing to develop our services in a way that meets the needs of MEE’s client group; working with employees in your region to define responsibilities that are closely aligned with the workplace; and fostering a learning organization. All of this is aimed at building an inclusive society, which for MEE means:“Making participation possible.”
