Are you looking for meaningful work where you can help vulnerable residents of Amsterdam take a step forward? Are you a generalist who can easily switch between strategic, tactical, and operational levels? Do you enjoy working in a network of passionate and dedicated people in a dynamic environment? Then this job is perfect for you!
The Humanitas Amsterdam & Diemen team consists of 22 enthusiastic and socially engaged colleagues. We are a warm, close-knit, and dynamic team. The team has an informal atmosphere, and we look out for one another and our volunteers. Each year, the team supports more than 800 volunteers in assisting over 1,000 Amsterdam residents who temporarily need a helping hand with issues such as loneliness, loss, parenting and growing up, incarceration, and finances.
The department has been growing in recent years. At the same time, the life situations of the participants we support are often more complex than before. The majority of our revenue comes from grants. Our goal is to become less dependent on them.
We are looking for a professional and collaborative Regional Manager
32–36 hours per week, based in Amsterdam (temporary and freelance options negotiable)
You will ensure that Humanitas’s staff and volunteers can support the residents of Amsterdam with enthusiasm, expertise, and a sense of fulfillment. In doing so, you will work closely with the (volunteer) board. You will be responsible for securing the necessary funding to cover costs. As the department’s public face, you will oversee its external positioning. In addition, you will be part of the Management Team of the Northwest District, which is led by the District Manager.
You have a professional and assertive personality, with a people-oriented, warm demeanor and presence. You are a true connector. You are able to inspire and motivate others, and when necessary, make and implement difficult decisions. You move seamlessly between strategic, tactical, and operational levels and connect well with various stakeholders.
Interested? We’d love to receive your application as soon as possible, but no later than Sunday, August 4, 2024. Please email your resume and cover letter to pz.noordwest@humanitas.nl, citing job posting number 07-03-24.
Would you like to learn more about the position? Please contact Eline Shtrasburg (Northwest District Manager) at 06 - 572 925 07.
