We guide and support asylum seekers and refugees throughout the Netherlands. We accompany them throughout their entire journey in the Netherlands—from the moment they arrive until they are fully integrated into our society.
You will report to the Director of Services and provide line management to all employees within the region and/or project groups, including the various team leaders. You will be a member of the national Integration Advisory Board.
Greater Amsterdam consists of the municipalities of Aalsmeer , Amstelveen, Diemen, Ouder-Amstel, Uithoorn, and De Ronde Venen
Central Utrecht consists of the municipalities of Lopik , IJsselstein, Montfoort, Stichtse Vecht, and Zeist
What will you be doing?
- As a regional manager, you are responsible for maintaining relationships with local governments, overseeing the day-to-day operations of Vluchtelingenwerk’s services, and ensuring sound business management.
- As a regional manager, you will be asked to actively contribute to the development of policies and services related to integration.
- You are responsible for achieving the agreed-upon objectives within the agreed-upon financial parameters.
- You will manage approximately 15 team leaders in your team
- You have indirect responsibility for 150 paid staff members and volunteers

- You have acquired a college-level or university-level standard of work and thinking through education or experience.
- You have a solid understanding of management techniques, organizational, financial, and quality policies.
- You have a strong affinity for working in volunteer organizations.
- You enjoy prospecting and preparing quotes;
- You are proactive, able to handle stress, and enjoy breaking new ground.
- You have excellent leadership skills and are a strong communicator.
- You have strong analytical skills

- The position is initially a one-year contract, with the intention of converting to a permanent contract after one year.
