The library landscape is constantly changing—from traditional book lending to a socially and educationally oriented library. With ambition and perseverance, we are building the future, and we need your vision and leadership to bring our plans to life. We are looking for you to fill one of the following positions:
As a member of our management team, you will work alongside the executive director and other managers on strategic policy, financial health, and the implementation of annual plans. You will enthusiastically engage your team, clients, and (potential) partners in the policies and developments at FlevoMeer Library.
Asa regional manager, you are responsible for the development and continuity of the libraries in your area. Together with your teams, you ensure a welcoming and optimal service experience, both digitally and in person. You are the primary point of contact for (potential) local partners and clients. You ensure that customers and visitors feel welcome, providing personalized advice and targeted communication about the library’s services.
A key focus of the role is maintaining contact and coordinating meetings with municipalities and (potential) local partners. In addition, you will foster collaboration between staff at the various branches and the Social Initiatives and Positioning team. The teams consist of 21–28 colleagues who work at the various branches as library staff, reading media consultants, or coordinators.
We’d love to hear from you! For more information, please contact Angenita de Jong-Oosterink, Regional Manager for Urk and Noordoostpolder, at 06 23738772. Please send your cover letter and resume toinfo@flevomeerbibliotheek.nl by March 18.
The first interviews will be held on March 25 (Lelystad) and March 31 (Dronten & Zeewolde), possibly followed by a second interview—including a case study—on April 10 (Lelystad) and April 7 (Dronten & Zeewolde). If you advance to the next round, you’ll have the opportunity to meet the team.
We are recruiting for this position both internally and externally. Solicitation in response to this job posting is not appreciated.
