Natuurstad is seeking two new members for its Board of Trustees. As a dynamic organization, we manage 8 unique petting zoos and 15 inspiring (school) gardens, where visitors of all ages can learn all about nature, the environment, food, and sustainability. Our mission is supported by a team of 100 enthusiastic staff members and 110 dedicated volunteers.
We are looking for two members for the Supervisory Board with supervisory or administrative experience, one with expertise in finance and operations and the other with expertise in environmental issues and education.
The member with expertise in finance and operations will be responsible for overseeing and advising on all financial aspects of our organization, as well as on operational matters such as IT, administration, procurement, and legal issues.
The member with expertise in the fields of green initiatives and education will focus on overseeing and advising on environmental education issues, innovative developments in the green sector, and maintaining relevant networks.
We strive to ensure that the composition of the Supervisory Board is balanced in terms of gender, age, background, and expertise.
Members of the Supervisory Board meet at least four times a year for regular meetings and are involved in the organization’s development and relevant issues. In addition, there are two active committees within the Supervisory Board: the Compensation Committee and the Audit Committee. Effective collaboration, in which members are free to speak their minds and contribute ideas, is central to our approach.
