Psychiatrist | Manager of Treatment Services, Acute Admissions

What will you be doing?

As Treatment Manager, you will work alongside the Operations Managers to jointly lead the teams, develop and implement operational and tactical policies, and contribute to Mentrum’s strategic policy. The work location is the Nieuwe Meer Clinic in Amsterdam

In addition to your work for Kliniek Nieuwe Meer, you will work closely with the management team at the Eerste Constantijn Huygensstraat clinic and, of course, fulfill your role on the Mentrum-wide management team.

As a Treatment Manager, you serve as a go-to resource for the care provided at Mentrum. The treatment and support we offer clients are recovery-oriented: everything we do is directly or indirectly aimed at using our expertise to support the recovery process as effectively as possible. At the heart of this process is helping clients regain control of their lives so they can lead a life they themselves find meaningful.

The management team at the Constantijn Huygenstaat Emergency Clinic serves as your direct point of contact and provides a vital foundation for professional collaboration, strategic planning, and decision-making. The intake, retention, and discharge of clients, for example, is one of the key collaborative topics; in this regard, we are constantly exploring how we can provide the best possible care in the most efficient way. Within Arkin and Mentrum, scientific research plays a major role, and various academic workshops have been established. We provide (highly) specialized care where quality of care and appropriate use go hand in hand.

We offer you

• We offer an employment contract for a minimum of 24 hours and a maximum of 36 hours per week. For 16 hours per week, you will serve as a program manager, and for the remaining hours, you will work as a psychiatrist at Mentrum;
• The terms of employment and compensation are in accordance with the GGZ Collective Bargaining Agreement, plus a 5% management bonus;
• An end-of-year bonus of 8.33%, 8% vacation pay, and you’ll accrue pension benefits through the Pensioenfonds Zorg en Welzijn;

Together with the Eerste Constantijn Huygenstraat Clinic, we are Mentrum’s acute admission clinics. At our clinic, the Nieuwe Meer Clinic, we admit clients with a severe psychiatric disorder (SPD) who are so severely distressed that clinical admission is necessary. The care provided is delivered according to the HIC model. The care is characterized by strong, leading involvement from the outpatient practitioner, a single treatment team throughout the entire admission, and expertise in the areas of mild intellectual disability (LVB) and addiction.
