Program and Partnerships Project Manager (32–36 hours)

The project manager is responsible for evaluating and overseeing projects, as well as managing relationships with the partners with whom the projects are carried out. There is also an opportunity to expand the number of partners and develop new projects. You have a passion for creative expression and believe that education and creativity are essential to everyone’s development. You are enthusiastic, a natural organizer, and can independently design and implement a project from start to finish, including monitoring budgetary guidelines.

What will you be doing?

You are the face of the foundation both internally and externally. You evaluate and select projects that meet the foundation’s criteria. Together with the board and the applicant partner, you help shape the project and define its scope. In addition, you handle the logistical details. You maintain contact regarding the progress of the projects and provide content for publication. You do this for approximately 20–30 projects per year. The projects and partners can be both national and international in nature.

You will also be responsible for the foundation’s financial administration, including the processing of sponsorship and donation requests.

In addition, you will oversee and manage the foundation’s art collection. You will develop initiatives to use the art collection to generate more revenue and visibility for the foundation.

You’ll have plenty of freedom and flexibility to do your work and develop new ideas so that the foundation can make a greater impact.

What do you bring to the table?

  • You have an interest in art (drawing and painting), creativity, arts education, and/or cultural participation;
  • You have a passion for the (international) nonprofit sector, particularly when it comes to disadvantaged groups and children;
  • You are able to engage others in the foundation’s story;
  • You are enterprising and have a knack for building relationships (at various levels);
  • You work independently and are able to organize and structure your work effectively;
  • You have knowledge of and an affinity for social media, and experience with digital communication channels is a plus;
  • You have a good command of the Dutch language; professional proficiency in spoken and written English is a must;
  • You have a college or university level of education and thinking, with at least 3–5 years of relevant work experience.

What does the Royal Talens Foundation have to offer you?

The Royal Talens Foundation is part of Royal Talens, a company based in Apeldoorn that specializes in fine art paints and supplies, as well as hobby paints. Its goal is to encourage as many people as possible to express their creativity. The foundation offers you:

  • 500 colleagues in the Netherlands and abroad who are eager to support you and, just like you, are proud of the foundation;
  • A salary ranging from €3,750 to a maximum of €4,250, depending on qualifications, seniority, and relevant work experience, based on full-time employment (40 hours);
  • Employee benefits, such as an 8% vacation allowance, 30 days of vacation, travel allowance, pension contributions, and WIA insurance;
  • Laptop and phone for business use;
  • A one-year employment contract with the intention of renewing it if the employee performs well.
