More about this organization
Musicians on stage during a live performance, with the guitarist in the foreground and the bassist in the background, bathed in colorful stage lighting.

Do you have a passion for music in all its forms and a strong network in the music industry? Are you analytically strong, do you enjoy working with others, and do you know how to evaluate plans and inspire people? Can you help make our organization more diverse? Then we’re looking for you!

We offer a meaningful role where you can truly make a difference. You’ll work with dedicated colleagues, enjoy excellent benefits, have the option to work partly from home, and be given the opportunity to grow professionally.

What will you be doing?

You will be part of the Programs & Impact (P&I) department and will supervise a Program Officer and an Assistant.

As Music Program Manager, you are responsible for content policy within your area of expertise. You develop strategies to reach new applicants and actively contribute ideas on innovative ways to provide financial support. You initiate grant proposals that contribute to strengthening the sector and represent the Culture Fund in the field, for example at festivals, networking events, or award ceremonies.

You will provide guidance to project initiators, evaluate applications based on substantive and financial criteria, draft recommendations, and make decisions regarding grant awards. You will maintain contact with applicants, committee members, and jury members, prepare for meetings, and produce quarterly reports.

What do you bring to the table?

  • At least a college-level education and several years of relevant work experience
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience in the music industry and a strong professional network
  • Experience in evaluating/preparing project proposals and budgets
  • Strategic insight and an innovative perspective on grant applications and philanthropy
  • You possess the following skills: strong communication skills, entrepreneurial spirit, ability to build relationships, leadership qualities, analytical skills, and a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English
  • An open mind and a desire to contribute to an inclusive organization

We prefer candidates who help make our organization more diverse in every way. We believe in the power of an inclusive culture and think it’s important for everyone to be able to be themselves. It doesn’t matter to us where you were born, what you believe in, or who you love; what matters is what you bring to our organization.

What do we offer?

  • A one-year contract for 32 hours per week, with the possibility of a permanent position.
  • A salary between €4,555 and €6,833 gross per month on a full-time basis (40 hours per week), depending on your work experience
  • Attractive employee benefits, such as a flexible spending account (14.42%) that you can choose to have paid out or use to purchase additional vacation days. We also provide a budget for your personal development and setting up your home office, a contribution toward health insurance, full reimbursement of travel expenses, a laptop, and a phone (or phone allowance).
  • A modern and welcoming workplace in a beautiful location in West Amsterdam, with the option to work partly from home.
  • Very friendly, dedicated, and satisfied colleagues, who rate our organization an 8.5 for being a good employer and an 8.2 for job satisfaction.

Are you excited?

Then we’re very curious to learn more about you. Introduce yourself to us and show us why you’re the right candidate for this position. Do this in a way that suits you—whether through a cover letter and resume, a video, or another format. Please send your application to sollicitaties@cultuurfonds.nl. You can apply starting today through Tuesday, November 11. The first interviews will take place on Tuesday afternoon, November 18. A potential second-round interview will take place on Monday morning, November 24. Do you have questions about the job opening? You can also send them to this email address.
