More about this organization
Three employees of Victim Support Netherlands smile warmly at the camera in a modern office.

A colleague who has questions about the right of access. A data breach report that needs to be handled quickly and carefully. And a victim who needs to be able to trust that their data is secure. Your work as a privacy officer makes a difference. You ensure that privacy processes are in order and support colleagues in their day-to-day work. Do you want to help protect victims? Apply today

This will be your job

As a privacy specialist, you are the key point of contact within the privacy team. You ensure that incoming privacy inquiries are handled properly and in a timely manner. You assist the privacy officer with data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) and the handling of data breaches. You coordinate access and deletion requests and handle them independently. In doing so, you ensure that legal deadlines are met, that requests are recorded in our Privacy Management System (Trustbound), and that they are archived correctly. You collaborate with the privacy liaisons who assist in handling access requests. You will also serve as the point of contact for colleagues. You will assist them with questions, share knowledge, and contribute to raising awareness about data protection. Do you identify bottlenecks in processes or areas for improvement in policies? If so, you will flag these issues and advise the privacy officer. In this way, you will contribute to the ongoing development of our privacy policy.

This is what it's all about

This is a great opportunity to put your attention to detail and precision to work for a social cause. You’ll ensure that privacy concerns are handled with care and that victims can trust that their data is in safe hands. That’s why, under the Social Work collective bargaining agreement, you’ll receive:

  • A one-year contract with an option to renew.
  • Training opportunities and access to the Skills Town learning platform.
  • A personalized budget: 26 additional hours of leave, 8% vacation pay, and an 8.3% year-end bonus—to be used however you like. (Subject to a 36-hour workweek)
  • An NS business card, for business travel in second class.
  • An individual career budget.

Who are you?

You work meticulously, know how to set priorities, and have an eye for detail. You handle confidential information responsibly, ensure that processes are followed correctly, and make sure legal deadlines are met. You enjoy helping your colleagues and are able to express yourself clearly in writing. Additionally:

  • Do you have an MBO+ level of work and thinking?
  • Do you have knowledge of the GDPR and the internal privacy policy?
  • Do you have experience with administrative and organizational tasks?
  • Do you have strong communication skills and do you work with precision and integrity?
