As treasurer, you are a member of the QISSA board and work with the executive team to develop financial policies. You contribute ideas on the organization’s development and ensure that its finances are properly managed.
We would like to emphasize that board experience is not a requirement; rather, we want to offer an opportunity to gain such experience. (Coaching and guidance are available for this purpose.)
WE ARE QISSA—Mentor, Community, and Home for Talents (formerly known as ROSE Academy). We are committed to the development and advancement of new generations of creators and their stories within the cultural sector. At QISSA, we scout the storytellers, literary innovators, screenwriters, trailblazers, and stage performers of tomorrow. QISSA not only gives new creators a kickstart but also offers them an artistic community to draw strength from and rely on. As a safe haven and creative breeding ground, we create and provide space for the development of new voices and support creators throughout their process—from concept to film script, web series, theater performance, book, or a presentation during an (art) exhibition. QISSA receives multi-year support from the Municipality of The Hague and the BIS. Our mission is to make the storytelling landscape in the Netherlands more diverse by supporting underrepresented creators and giving their stories the platform they deserve.

The board meets an average of four times a year and conducts an annual self-evaluation. The role of treasurer requires additional time to prepare, review, and evaluate the annual budget and financial statements. All board members receive an honorarium for their service. In addition, any expenses are reimbursed.
QISSA is committed to promoting diversity in terms of origin and background within its board and workforce. We warmly encourage candidates of color, self-taught individuals, and women in particular to apply. Does this profile sound like you?
