About BOG.
BOG. creates philosophical, linguistic, and musical performances exploring fundamental themes from the life of every human being. Since our first production , *BOG.: An Attempt to Restructure Life* (2013), we have been creating work about everything that humans strive to grasp but is too vast to fully comprehend. We explore themes that everyone encounters in daily life: life as a whole, opinion, faith, time and movement, the difference between adults and children, existential loneliness, grief, language, and identity. Driven by the conviction that we must seek out what unites us as human beings without losing sight of the value of difference, we create uncompromising, idiosyncratic, and open theater.
The BOG Board.
The board meets four times a year in Amsterdam. At these meetings, as many members as possible of BOG’s six-person artistic and executive management team are present. In addition, the board holds an annual review.
In addition to these occasions, individual board members are sometimes called upon to perform specific tasks, such as preparing for a meeting or attending the annual review meeting with the Performing Arts Fund.
The BOG. board is involved in the interplay between the artistic, business, and organizational aspects of running the theater collective.
The board is actively engaged in this process and is working with the administration to assess the effectiveness of BOG and to determine how its goals—such as those related to internationalization and inclusivity—can be achieved.
To ensure that the knowledge and experience we have gained are put to the best possible use, we are looking for a candidate who is willing to join the board in October 2022.
The term of office for a board member is four years and may be extended for an additional four years. This is an unpaid position.
BOG is looking for a treasurer who
