More about this organization
Silhouettes of musicians on stage during a concert, with an audience in front of them and dramatic lighting with smoke.

The Stadsschouwburg and the PHIL are Haarlem’s two largest venues. We organize more than 400 events a year: from cabaret, music, dance, and theater to television productions and corporate events. We host it all in our two buildings in the heart of the city. Our enthusiastic Customer Service team, part of the Marketing & Sales department, is the first point of contact for many visitors and the starting point for attending a performance or concert.

What will you be doing?

As a Customer Service Representative, you are the face of the company for visitors. Here are some of your responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for ticket sales and customer service related to our performances;
  • You handle questions, requests, and complaints from visitors with care and actively contribute ideas for appropriate solutions;
  • You will process reservations, changes, and cancellations, ensuring that everything is handled correctly for the visitor

You are:

  • willing to work during the afternoon and evening hours and on weekends;
  • proficient in the various Microsoft Office tools and digitally literate;
  • professional, patient, and open-minded;
  • welcoming, flexible, and sociable;
  • Fluent in spoken and written Dutch; any other language is a plus.

We offer:

  • Work at the ticket counter, in the office, and in the lobbies at two locations in downtown Haarlem;
  • flexible working hours based on a schedule: during the day, in the evenings, and on weekends;
  • Salary in accordance with pay scale 4 of the Dutch Performing Arts Collective Bargaining Agreement (€2,421 – €3,290 based on a 36-hour workweek);
  • a one-year contract, with the possibility of permanent employment;
  • Lots of free concerts and performances, including those hosted by our partners at Patronaat and Schuur, plus a fun get-together every month.

Interested?

Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter by March 1, 2026, via one of our websites: Stadsschouwburg or PHIL.
