
Podium Grounds books groundbreaking, up-and-coming, and well-known national and international musicians and bands across a wide range of musical styles—from Turkish folk to Afrobeat and from Latin to Sahara blues. In addition, Grounds has developed an extensive community program in collaboration with various partners in the neighborhood. You’ll be working in a dedicated and diverse team that is constantly evolving. Grounds recently opened a second location in the old HBS building, which we are developing together with various partners.
As Head of Marketing and Communications, you will be responsible for developing publicity policy and positioning of Grounds. You will implement the policy independently: you will write, edit, produce, and distribute all communications. This includes the website, social media channels, and the newsletter. You maintain contacts with media partners and are responsible for implementing the marketing plan. You’ll work with a digital marketer whom we will be recruiting together with you.
• Responsible for developing and refining marketing strategies, policies, and(annual) planning
• Developing targeted marketing campaigns for concerts and other activities
• Drafting newsletters and press releases, maintaining contact with the local press (organizing free publicity)
• Managing and maintaining content for the Grounds website
• Manage and curate social media content (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube)
• Monitoring deadlines and sub-budgets
• Responsible for maintaining the customer database
• Supervising interns
• Demonstrable experience in marketing and communications in the music or cultural sector
• Demonstrable experience writing copy in Dutch and English
• A way with words and excellent verbal and written communication skills
• You are flexible, proactive, analytical, self-reliant, and enjoy getting things done
• A responsible and independent attitude, with strong problem-solving skills
• You work systematically and can handle deadlines well
• Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe Illustrator is a plus
