Are you interested in topics such as spatial development, the future of rural areas, sustainable urbanization, and housing? If so, you might be the new Managing Consultant for the Physical Environment we’re looking for!

32–38.75 hours per week | Utrecht | Hybrid | €6,100–€9,295 | Master’s degree

What you will be doing

The challenges facing our living environment are significant. Demands on space are being made from a variety of perspectives, including the energy transition, climate adaptation, urbanization, making rural areas more sustainable, mobility, and the economy. All of this must be achieved while adhering to standards for air, water, and soil quality. This requires vision, knowledge, leadership, and collaboration within a complex context involving diverse interests.

As a Managing Consultant for the Physical Environment, you will help government agencies define and implement their strategies. You will provide an overview, insights, and actionable recommendations, thereby making a direct contribution to making the physical environment more sustainable. Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • provide advice on issues such as spatial development, urbanization/housing, rural areas, sustainability, and area development.
  • facilitating collaborations between various organizations and stakeholders.
  • evaluating and optimizing policies and developing tools.
  • helping to get stalled processes moving again and providing support for complex decision-making.
  • actively building your network, developing business opportunities, and securing new projects
  • leading multidisciplinary teams and contributing to the growth of the consulting group.
