What you will be doing 

As a Managing Consultant for Digital & Data, you combine a strong network with commercial acumen and technical expertise. You will: 

• Builds on your existing network to initiate new collaborations and strengthen existing relationships. 
• Turn your network into concrete opportunities by applying your understanding of data science to the challenges faced by potential clients. 
• Identifies and develops business opportunities by actively maintaining and expanding your network with relevant contacts. 
• Turn leads into concrete projects by aligning your technical expertise with customer needs. 
• Prepares compelling proposals and presents our services to potential clients from both a technical and a commercial perspective. 
• Coordinates and performs data science tasks such as:  
• Loading, transforming, and analyzing data 
• Developing and implementing (statistical) models 
• Designing mathematical solutions 
• Helps clients develop solutions and leverage insights. 

Examples of projects you'll be working on: 

• Helping a healthcare facility predict the capacity needed on the front lines. 
• Validating analyses of the gender pay gap. 
• Improving billing processes for an energy supplier. 
• Developing data-driven marketing strategies for a retail company. 

You combine a relevant professional network with proven experience in data science and commercial acumen. Ideally, your network has connections to our core markets, such as healthcare, government, energy, and retail. You are able to leverage your network strategically to identify and capitalize on new opportunities, with your technical expertise helping you to operate with credibility and deliver tangible value. 

Experience and a network in other sectors are welcome, as long as there is sufficient overlap or relevance to our areas of focus.

You will be part of the Digital and Data team, a group of approximately 20 enthusiastic professionals, including consultants, data scientists, analysts, and developers. Together, you will work on projects with a strong data component and a commercial focus. Assignments range from developing dashboards in Power BI to large-scale data studies that contribute to reducing plastic use in the industry, or supporting the Integral Care Agreement (IZA). Sometimes we work on optimization challenges.

Here's what to bring 

We are looking for a Managing Consultant in Digital & Data who: 

• Has completed an academic degree in, for example, engineering, the natural sciences, econometrics, operations research, mathematics, or AI. 
• Has at least six years of relevant work experience, preferably in data science. 
• Has experience with commercial thinking and securing projects. 
• Has strong analytical skills and a keen understanding of the subject matter. 
• Enjoys working in multidisciplinary teams, both as an expert and as a project leader. 
• Is familiar with stakeholder processes, data analysis, and/or process management.

Here's what the application process looks like 

After you submit your application, you will receive a response within one business week. If your application is successful, we will invite you to an introductory phone call with Mariëlle Boer. This will be followed by an interview with fellow consultants and your future manager.
