Waterweg Wonen is a housing association in Vlaardingen that manages over 11,000 residential units, retail spaces, and commercial properties. Vlaardingen is part of the Rotterdam metropolitan area. At Waterweg Wonen, we collaborate with KOMPASSIE to promote housing well-being in Vlaardingen. We want the residents of our more than 11,000 social housing units to have peace of mind when it comes to housing. By providing good, affordable housing and contributing to neighborhoods where everyone is welcome and people—with all their differences—can live together harmoniously. We pay special attention to those who—for whatever reason—need more temporary support.
We are increasingly seeing that residents’ concerns extend beyond housing. Only through close collaboration with residents themselves and other organizations can we arrive at appropriate solutions. We have therefore chosen to operate within a network, in which we are one of the partners supporting our clients. In the coming period, we will take on an active, mobilizing role in establishing and implementing a shared social agenda and a network that operates sustainably.
