Due to the departure of the current manager, we are looking for a neighborhood team manager. Almere has 9 neighborhood teams. The goal of the neighborhood teams is to help residents participate in society to the best of their ability. We work to strengthen self-reliance and community resilience and to build strong neighborhoods. We focus on informal and collective support wherever possible. Where necessary, we offer short-term guidance, support, and access to customized services. In this way, the neighborhood teams play an important role in the social sector in Almere.
The neighborhood teams are a consortium in which De Schoor, VMCA, MEE, and the City of Almere work together. Learn more about our neighborhood teams at: www.wijkteams.almere.nl.
You provide daily tactical and operational leadership to the staff of three neighborhood teams. In this role, you collaborate with fellow neighborhood team managers, the general manager, and the managers of the consortium partners. Together, you form the management team of this matrix organization. You invest in the neighborhood teams, focusing on professionalism and optimizing integrated collaboration and coordination among the various specialties (neighborhood workers). In doing so, you keep an eye on employee development and team development. You ensure that the work is organized in such a way that employees can perform their tasks optimally, enjoy going to work, and continue to develop. You also contribute to policy and the (further) development of the neighborhood teams. This includes linking social work (from De Schoor) to the neighborhood teams’ mission in seeking joint solutions for residents. You strengthen collaboration with partners in the network, at both the neighborhood and city levels.
You are able to lead employees with a college education in a coaching style. You are naturally open to collaborating with partners outside your own organization. You are enthusiastic and committed to the continued development of the neighborhood teams in Almere.
