Wakker Dier fights to ensure a dignified life for all animals in the livestock industry. Will you join the fight? As the fundraising team manager, you’re both a skilled organizer and a hands-on leader.
Wakker Dier advocates for a life of dignity for all animals in the livestock industry.
Our vigilant approach and relentless dedication have made us both heard and feared within the food industry. That is why our actions are bringing about a major shift. For example, battery-cage eggs and factory-farmed chicken have virtually disappeared from all Dutch supermarkets.
But we won’t rest until all animals in the Dutch livestock industry are treated with respect. We are proud of our professional organization, which consistently draws media attention to these forgotten animals. Wakker Dier operates independently and without government funding, with a dedicated team and the support of more than 30,000 donors.
Due to the departure of the current manager, Wakker Dier is looking for a unifying and results-oriented:
As the manager of the fundraising team, you are both a skilled organizer and a hands-on leader. You possess natural leadership skills that enable you to bring out the best in the team. You are a passionate fundraiser with a warm heart for donors, a strong commitment to animals in the livestock industry, and experience in (private) fundraising.
You will lead the fundraising team (ten employees, both direct and indirect) in an inspiring manner and serve on the board as secretary (alongside the organizational manager and the campaign team manager, who also serves as executive director).
You possess a high degree of professionalism, have a clear vision, and set the goal on the horizon that you and your team aim to achieve. You recognize yourself in the following points:
Experience in the nonprofit sector and/or fundraising is a plus, but not a strict requirement. You have a college or university degree, for example in communications and/or marketing.
We believe it’s important for all our colleagues to feel seen and valued. We embrace different backgrounds and cultures. By looking beyond our own fields of expertise, valuing our differences, and being inclusive and diverse. Whoever you are, we invite you to apply.
