What will you be doing?
We are currently seeking a manager for our social enterprises Restaurant Freud, Zeefdrukmakers, and Re_Cycle. Working alongside dedicated teams, you will ensure the delivery of professional services and products to businesses and individuals. You will serve as an entrepreneurial partner to job coaches and participants, who are responsible for day-to-day management, planning, and production—while you maintain an overview and monitor progress. We are looking for someone who is committed to staying with Roads for several years.
Participants within the companies work toward personal goals through their own development plans. The team supports their growth; as a manager, you are ultimately responsible for the progress and quality of care and support. The challenge lies in effectively aligning production and service delivery with the needs and capacity of employees and participants.
Your role involves overseeing three social enterprises in Amsterdam (West):

Roads is here for people with mental health issues, substance abuse problems, and/or a criminal history who need support in finding employment, education, and daytime activities.
Work is both our means and our goal. As part of Arkin, we have specialized psychiatric expertise and experience. We offer workplaces, activities, and daytime programs at our own locations and with regular employers, and we operate in Amsterdam, Haarlem, Amstelveen, Haarlemmermeer, and Diemen.
Roads operates a number of social enterprises that produce (artisanal and high-quality) products, such asRecycle(bicycles),Roads Print & Pixels(printing),Appeltaart Imperium,Restaurant Freud,Zeefdrukmakers, andRoads Vervoer. People with mental health challenges (participants) take part in these activities; for some, this serves as a work-based daytime program, while for others, it is a means to return to a regular job and/or pursue an education.
Participants develop skills through employment and housing support, therapy, and group or individual training sessions. This support builds their self-confidence and helps them reintegrate into society. Roads also offers reintegration programs for businesses. The activities are made possible by 180 staff members and 100 volunteers and reach approximately 3,500 clients annually.
