Are you the innovative facility manager who helps others shine? Do you find motivation in addressing a wide range of care needs and facilitating compassionate care? Do you give employees the space to develop their talents? If so, we’d love to talk to you!
The organization
Amstelring focuses on nursing home care, community care, day programs, and home care in the Amsterdam, Amstelland, and Meerlanden regions. Approximately 4,000 employees provide care and support to over 2,000 residents at 22 locations and 3,000 clients living at home. Amstelring is a flat organization, consisting of care teams, (location) managers, the integrated Service Team, the Board of Directors, and the corporate staff.
Employee and client participation is largely organized at the individual locations through a Client Council and a Subcommittee (OC, as part of the Works Council). Within Amstelring, much of the decision-making is decentralized. That is why it is crucial that the location manager be able to work effectively with the Client Council and the OC.
Amstelring's Vision
Amstelring stands for quality care, a pleasant work environment, and financial stability. On-site leadership and integrated management are seen as essential prerequisites for achieving these goals. Not just any leadership, but leadership based on Rhineland principles. This begins with trust in the expertise of the professionals. These professionals work in self-organizing teams that form the heart of the organization. To support them optimally, Amstelring adheres to the principles of proximity, taking the burden off, and simplification. The goal is to create small-scale groups of residents supported by small-scale self-organizing teams.
About Groenelaan
Groenelaan is a friendly, welcoming, and cozy assisted living facility located in a somewhat older building with 132 apartments. Residents at Groenelaan have varying care needs. Staff members work in 9 teams.
Groenelaan is located on the green outskirts of Amstelveen. Upon entering, visitors find themselves in the common area, which features a cozy café and a bright sunroom. The grounds include several beautiful gardens. Groenelaan places a high priority on diversity and has been recognized by De Roze Loper. Meaningful daytime activities and person-centered programs are key pillars of the facility, but these have been under pressure during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are working hard to restore these to their previous level. Curious? For more information, visithttps://www.amstelring.nl/verpleeghuis-groenelaan
Position
You are an enthusiastic, innovative, and collaborative leader who knows how to bring out the best in people. Because providing compassionate care is a team effort. By trusting the team, giving them responsibility, and being there when needed. It’s also worth noting that Groenelaan has had a challenging year, but an interim manager has restored calm and teamwork. It’s up to you to maintain and build on that.
Clients’ care needs and their individual identities guide your actions. You focus on creating the conditions and space necessary for employees to perform at their best as a team. You are skilled in this area because labor shortages and tightening financial constraints are putting pressure on ideal conditions. You know how to bridge that apparent contradiction.
You are focused on achieving the site’s objectives without neglecting the collective interests and internal synergy of Amstelring. As the site leader, you have a high degree of autonomy. You report directly to a member of the Executive Board.
Groenelaan is of great importance to the residents of Amstelveen. You are able to firmly establish Amstelring and Groenelaan in the local area and secure their position without compromising on collaboration with other organizations. The Amstelland Meerlanden region has a regional vision for elder care. You are able to align with this vision and translate it into care and services provided by Groenelaan.
Together with your colleagues, you will help advance initiatives aimed at making Groenelaan more future-oriented and creating an “open house for all residents.” You have a vision for and/or experience with residential care technology/home automation, as well as with innovation and improvement in the field of care.
