The Eemland Library is at the heart of the community and aims to be an inspiring platform for fostering connections. It is a place where residents come together to grow and develop. Everyone, regardless of background or interests, is welcome here to share knowledge, find inspiration, learn new skills, or discover their talents.
We offer a range of activities for adults to make reading easier, more accessible, and more appealing. We empower residents of our municipalities to actively contribute to public discourse. This can include local issues as well as broader social topics such as climate change, well-being, freedom, and democracy. We are innovative in the field of digital literacy and digital citizenship, focusing on topics such as AI, digital moral compass, and fake news, so that residents can navigate the ever-changing online society with confidence, skill, and resilience.

A one-year fixed-term employment contract, with the possibility of extension. The salary is based on education and relevant work experience in pay scale 10 of the Public Libraries Collective Bargaining Agreement (between €3,938 and €5,154 gross per month based on a 36-hour workweek, excluding a 3.75% collective bargaining agreement increase effective July 1, 2025), 8% vacation pay, 4.5% year-end bonus, employer contributions toward health and other insurance, 5 weeks of vacation, bicycle plan, contribution toward a gym membership, and of course a library membership.
