When you think of a library, you think of books. But if you walk into any branch of the Eemland Library these days, you’re sure to be surprised. Not only by the wide variety of visitors—because we’re literally here for everyone—but also by the different kinds of activities we organize. From the DigiTaalhuis, where people can practice language and digital skills, to projects we undertake with schools. From an inspiring lecture by a well-known author to a workshop on the rapid development of AI. The library is a place where you can meet others, where you’ll be inspired, and where there’s plenty of room for growth. An organization where enthusiastic colleagues work, brimming with great ideas. Where we work hard, but there’s also time for a friendly cup of coffee. That’s what makes working at the Eemland Library so much fun!
Because we believe everyone should be able to participate, we help people improve their reading and writing skills, as well as develop their digital skills. Our goal is to empower residents so they can contribute to and keep up with society. And where self-reliance is more challenging, we’re here to give people a helping hand. The Library does this by partnering with organizations to offer a dynamic and professionally run program that meets the needs of residents in the Eemland region. This includes the DigiTaalhuis as a center of expertise for knowledge about low literacy and basic skills, and the Digital Government Information Point where residents can ask questions about the government’s digital services.
To help the Library achieve these goals, we are looking for aProgram Line Manager (Tactical Manager) for24 hours per week
