Do you want to help drive performance, set the direction, and make a real impact in the energy transition? Alliander is looking for a Manager of Performance, Transformation, and Quality Management.

As Manager of Performance, Transformation, and Quality Management (PTK) at Asset & Product Management (APM) in Duiven, you will be responsible for APM-wide and cross-organizational programs aimed at improving the asset management and quality management system. You provide direction and leadership for change initiatives and know how to coach and mobilize people to achieve goals together. Together, we ensure that the Netherlands can rely on our energy network without worry. You help make the network more professional at Alliander.

The energy transition is impossible without you as a PTK Manager

As PTK Manager at APM, you will ensure the integrity of asset management responsibilities. You will oversee APM-wide and cross-organizational change programs focused on performance improvement, quality assurance, and strategic management.

You are responsible for ensuring that the asset management and quality control systems function effectively and can be verified. In this role, you will work closely with managers accountable for results, providing guidance, advice, and support.

As the person ultimately responsible for portfolio management and performance management, you will ensure that capacity and expertise are utilized effectively and that APM demonstrably contributes to Alliander’s strategic direction.

You operate at the intersection of strategy, operations, and change. You translate policy into action, ensure implementation, and build support within APM. Externally, you represent APM in Alliander’s company-wide change agenda and work closely with colleagues from other strategic areas within Alliander, such as digitalization, customer processes, regulatory affairs, and data-driven asset management.

In this leadership role, you will set priorities and add tangible value to the energy transition. You will be a member of APM’s Executive Management Team and will be directly responsible for a team of 16 FTE (growing to 30 FTE), comprising, among others, Implementation Management, Internal Control, and Business Consultancy.

We’re building the energy grid of the future for everyone, together with everyone. And as a PTK Manager, you’ll be part of this effort. In this role, you’ll be working on:

  • Oversee portfolio management and ensure that capacity and resources are directed toward initiatives that have the greatest impact for Alliander. You maintain an overview and focus on priorities, focus, and results.
  • Translate strategic goals into measurable results, monitor progress, and make adjustments as needed.
  • Optimize processes and procedures within APM, including methods and tools, leading to greater efficiency, higher quality, and improved performance.
  • Ensure robust quality management: you monitor progress and risks and ensure that APM remains demonstrably in control.
  • Leading a multidisciplinary team (bachelor’s or master’s degree), with a focus on development, collaboration, and professional expertise.

You’re the perfect fit for Alliander

Did you know that Alliander is made up of several companies? Together with Liander, Qirion, Qterra, Dep, Firan, and Entrnce, we develop and manage the energy grid for millions of people in the Netherlands. And with the current energy transition, that’s hard work. We do this with the help of a large team of professionals. Thanks to these talented individuals, we have every confidence in the Netherlands’ energy future. Together with you, we’re making that possible.

And you’ll be doing that in our Asset & Product Management (APM) department. Here, you’ll share responsibility for maintaining energy grids. APM manages, digitizes, and standardizes our network assets and our customer products. This covers all assets, from the meter in your meter box to the substation where high-voltage power enters. In addition, APM prioritizes Liander’s work packages and commissions them. APM fulfills our role as Asset Manager and all associated responsibilities regarding the quality and safety of our grid.

You make it even more energetic

Building an organization that’s future-proof. You do this by drawing on your own strengths and talents. And you do it here with us. Can you contribute to this with your collaborative coaching style? Great! Especially if you can also bring:

  • At least 5–10 years of relevant work experience in change management, including at least 7 years in a managerial role.
  • Leadership skills: motivating, connecting, listening, and providing feedback.
  • Open and transparent, with strong communication and coaching skills, and the ability to accurately assess the political landscape and power dynamics.
  • Organizational sensitivity.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • The ability to persuade others to support complex changes and build buy-in.
  • Effective stakeholder management and maintaining strategic relationships
  • Strong analytical skills: you see the big picture, set priorities, and focus on achieving results.

Whether you have a background in engineering, process optimization, or change management, we’d love to hear your perspective on leadership!
