Information Services (IV) is a key driver of the UWV’s ambition to transform from a regulatory body into a public service provider where people feel heard, seen, and supported. The central IV Office (CIO Office), part of Concern ICT, is where policy and frameworks are developed and where the implementation of IV is managed. This ensures uniformity and integration across divisions, chains, and departments. The decentralized IV Offices, such as the one at the Facilities Department, are responsible for applying and ensuring compliance with these policies and frameworks within their own organizational units. Collaboration with the CIO Office and the IV Office managers of other divisions, as well as collaboration with the IV managers within the Facilities Department, is crucial in this regard.
You will directly supervise 7 team leads and approximately 30 employees. The following areas fall under the responsibility of the FB IV Office: Information Planning and Portfolio Management (including Capacity Management and Management Information), Architecture and Technology Policy, Information Security and Privacy, Data Management, Process Management, and Service Delivery Management. At FB IV, responsibility for the Planning and Coordination Office also falls under the IV Office.
The main responsibilities for the new manager are:
You will report to the Director of IT at the Facilities Department and, together with the IT managers for Logistics Services and Digital Services, form part of the management team. You will report functionally to the head of the CIO Office at the central level and coordinate with the managers of the other regional IT Offices.
At the UWV, we believe it is important for our people to work together in a customer-focused and results-oriented manner. You stay up to date on developments in the public and political spheres and maintain close relationships both within and outside the UWV. You demonstrate initiative and a spirit of entrepreneurship, and you have an inviting approach to collaboration. You motivate and inspire others.
The word “balance” is central to the UWV leadership profile. As a leader at the UWV, you operate in a complex environment where you must act both independently and with political and administrative sensitivity; where you must innovate and maintain stability; where you must coach and provide direction; and where you must keep an eye on both the work and the people. A detailed explanation is included in our leadership profile.
To successfully perform this role, we also expect you to:
Since FB IV has a small management team and the responsibilities of the FB IV Office extend beyond strictly IV Office matters, we have high expectations for our new IV Office Manager for the Facilities Department. If you don’t meet all of the above criteria exactly but believe you’re a suitable candidate, please apply and convince us with your cover letter!
What can you expect from us?
About the UWV Facilities Department:
The mission of the Facilities Department (FB) is to provide optimal and sustainable support to UWV’s employees and organization in the areas of the work environment, procurement, and information management.
FB believes that when UWV employees are properly supported in their work, they experience greater job satisfaction, perform better, and are even better able to apply their expertise to serving clients and customers. Our motto is “FB works to make work enjoyable.”
The Information Services Facility (FB IV) is responsible for the logistical and digital services related to the UWV’s central digital assets and plays a central role in information management. To provide the best possible assistance to our clients at the UWV, access to the right information is essential.
FB IV is responsible for storing, contextualizing, making available, retaining, and destroying this (client) information. The functional requirements and development of these services are determined by societal developments, as well as the needs and requirements of the divisions, the federal government, and the legal frameworks.
FB IV’s mission is to ensure that, in a rapidly changing (UWV) landscape, its services remain optimally aligned with the needs of the UWV organization and its employees, both now and in the future, and to convey the requirements for proper information management to the UWV organization. The availability, continuity, stability, and security of these facilities, which are managed by FB, are essential to the daily work of thousands of UWV employees and the services provided to UWV clients. These business-critical functions are prerequisites for the operation of UWV’s primary service delivery processes.
Given the range of activities and current developments, FB operates in a context marked by significant challenges and changes, both internally and externally.
