As both a health fund and a patient organization, we aim to increase our social impact and secure long-term funding. To this end, we are making significant investments in data-driven marketing, outreach campaigns, and sustainable growth. In doing so, we collaborate with professionals, civil society organizations, and business partners, among others.
We are looking for an Impact Marketing & Fundraising Manager who can bring together strategy, data, creativity, and entrepreneurship. As a member of the management team, you will share responsibility for Longfonds’s policy and strategy. Would you like to join our team and help us achieve our goals? Apply now!
What will you be doing?
As Manager of Impact Marketing & Fundraising, you will provide strategic and substantive leadership to the Impact Marketing, Relationship & Data, and Fundraising & Campaigns teams (26 employees / 23 FTE). Together with your teams, their team leads, other organizational units, and of course our volunteers, you will translate the Longfonds mission into powerful propositions, campaigns, and partnerships that resonate, connect, and inspire action. You will strategically leverage data, digital innovation, and artificial intelligence to engage and captivate donors and partners.
As a member of the Management Team, you will help shape the direction, impact, and development of Longfonds. You will work on both long-term impact and short-term results: from branding to fundraising, and from data-driven workflows through our systems to project-based work. As one of the key leaders on the Management Team, you will oversee the implementation of a comprehensive marketing automation and CRM project.
Key Responsibilities
- Further developing the data-driven marketing strategy in line with Longfonds’s long-term strategy
- Have overall responsibility for private and corporate fundraising, campaigns, proposals, and partnerships, including lead generation, conversion, retention, and growth in lifetime value (15 to 18 million euros, 2024/2025)
- Initiating and testing new offerings, channels, and revenue models
- Managing three teams, including through annual plans and regular meetings
- Strengthening the Longfonds’s social positioning and visibility in close collaboration with your colleague, the Impact Manager
- Take overall responsibility (together with your Operations Manager colleague) for the implementation and development of CRM and marketing automation systems
- Overseeing the strategic direction, decision-making, and implementation of Project Bruis, in collaboration with the local project team in The Hague Southwest
- Focusing on impact, growth, return on investment, and innovation through the use of data, CRM, and marketing automation
- Actively contribute to the Management Team on topics such as digital transformation, culture, leadership, and strategic decision-making
Who are you?
You are a strategically strong, creative, entrepreneurial, and people-oriented leader with a keen sense of social impact and results. You see the big picture, but you also dive into the details when necessary. You know how to connect with people, inspire them, and provide direction, both within your team and beyond. You thrive in a dynamic organization. The strategy is in place; now is the time to take action, implement it, and scale it up.
What do you bring to the table?
- You have a university-level education and way of thinking
- You have extensive experience in digital marketing, communications, and fundraising (both individual and corporate), preferably in the nonprofit sector
- You have leadership experience as a member of an executive team. By working closely with your employees and challenging them, you work with them to translate the strategy into concrete team plans and projects. You set priorities and help make decisions based on expected returns.
- You have strong commercial and analytical skills, with an eye for social impact
- You have both strategic insight and the ability to get things done: you can make plans and see them through
- You have strong communication skills and an understanding of administrative matters
- You have a clear understanding of the market for fundraising charities, their market positions, and the relationships between them
- A network in the nonprofit sector and/or the business market is considered an asset
- Do you identify with the Longfonds core values: Optimistic, Decisive, and Connecting?
What do we offer?
- A strategic executive team role with a direct influence on growth and impact
- A one-year contract followed by the possibility of a permanent position
- A salary according to pay scale M (from €5,915 to €8,755) under the Longfonds collective bargaining agreement, depending on education and experience, based on a 36-hour workweek
- A pleasant, innovative, and educational work environment with opportunities for professional growth
- An open and collaborative work environment that encourages initiative
- Attractive employee benefits, including a 13th month’s salary and a wellness budget
- Full reimbursement of travel expenses for public transportation (our office is located at Amersfoort Central Station) or bicycle
