What do you bring to the table?
In a dynamic environment where you work alongside intrinsically motivated professionals, you serve as a clear guiding light. Your core qualities—such as a people-oriented approach, strategic thinking, and an entrepreneurial mindset—align well with the Rhineland philosophy, which is characterized by the principle of self-management. You are forward-thinking and have experience with organizational development and cultural change. Colleagues see you as a friendly and approachable person who values collaboration and whom they can turn to with all their questions, without you taking on all the work yourself—instead, you delegate to skilled colleagues. You have a hands-on mentality and operate based on trust and respect. People appreciate your clear approach! You keep a close eye on trends and developments in your field. Perhaps you’re ready for the next step to further develop your management skills, or you’d like to join a social organization where a people-oriented approach is a top priority. You’re welcome to use your knowledge and experience to make an impact on the people the MEEr Group works to support every day.
What can you expect?
You will manage strategic HR across our entire organization: 330 employees spread across the Utrecht and Amsterdam regions. You will serve as a strategic advisor to the CEO and a member of the Management Team, lead a fantastic HR team, and act as the case manager and recruiter for support services and management. This position presents various challenges, such as positioning HR, further developing the wellness policy, and digitization. You are skilled at articulating the value HR brings to the organization. You are convinced of the positive impact a healthy, safe, and energetic work environment can have on colleagues and clients. At times, policies must also be developed to establish clear frameworks. Furthermore, you serve as the occupational health and safety coordinator and program manager for organizational development. You therefore switch easily between strategic, tactical, and operational levels and know how to make decisions, no matter how difficult they may be.
Who do you work with, and how do you collaborate?
The management team consists of several regional managers who serve 48 municipalities, an Operations Manager, a Project Office Manager, our Executive Director, and, of course, you. We’re a great group of people who empower our employees based on the 4 V’s: Expertise – Trust – Connection – Responsibility. These words truly hold meaning for us in practice.
Let us introduce you to the HR team. With a well-staffed back office, Arthur and Mariska are laying a solid foundation. HR advisors Ellen and Sisca also serve as case managers and are in frequent contact with employees. Without Corinne and Patricia from the Finance team, expense reports wouldn’t be processed and salaries wouldn’t be paid. As a training advisor, Jolien is essential to the quality of our services. We have two recruiters, and that’s hard work in today’s job market: experienced Romy for the Utrecht region and Jaleesa, who has just been promoted internally, for the Amsterdam region. Finally, we’re happy to have our own internal team coach, Erwin, who supports the teams in their team development. We don’t have team leaders within the MEEr group, so good collaboration between the teams, the managers, and HR is essential.
Together with the team, we’ve made significant progress that you can and will build upon. We’ll ensure a smooth transition with the current interim manager so you can continue to develop this wonderful role.
What do we offer?
Working in the Randstad and contributing to our mission—ensuring that everyone in society can and is allowed to participate—isn’t that just wonderful? The salary is up to €6,136 based on a 36-hour workweek. That corresponds to FWG 65 under the Collective Labor Agreement for Disability Care. A number of collective bargaining agreement salary increases are still to come. We won’t bore you with more clichés—you can rest assured that you’ll be well supported in your work. And beyond that: we just had our MEEr party; we’re curious to see if you’d like to join the dance or just hang out at the bar.
We also offer:
- A customized onboarding program;
- Training & Development;
- Four times a year, we host an inspiration morning for all our employees featuring a variety of guest speakers. The focus is on professional development, knowledge sharing, and connecting with your colleagues. In addition, we offer a wide range of job-specific training courses, workshops, and a personal training budget. With us, you’ll also have a real opportunity to develop and explore new ideas. We provide you with the space and support you need to grow professionally;
- Vacation pay (8%), a year-end bonus (8.33%), pension (PFZW), and a work-from-home allowance;
- 144 statutory vacation hours and 57 personal life-stage hours (based on a 36-hour workweek);
- A generous travel allowance of 0.21 cents per kilometer for commuting, with a maximum of 80 kilometers one way, and 0.31 cents per kilometer for business travel;
- A laptop and phone on loan;
- Peer review and case discussion;
- Control over your own schedule and the option to work from home;
- Fun staff outings organized by the employee association, such as sailing, laser tag, or stand-up paddleboarding, as well as the annual MEEr party.
