The Dutch education system is grappling with complex issues surrounding teacher shortages, high workloads, and absenteeism. As part of its statutory mandate, the Replacement Fund/Participation Fund (VfPf) is tasked with making a significant contribution to retaining education staff and, in doing so, making a demonstrable, crucial contribution to reducing the teacher shortage. We now advise and support more than 1,000 schools in strengthening their commitment to retaining employees in primary education over the long term, by proactively reducing absenteeism due to illness and preventing unemployment. To this end, we continuously develop impactful services for and with the school community. In the event of unemployment or absenteeism due to illness, we (partially) compensate for the financial consequences. Schools pay a monthly premium for this.
