Arkin is one of the largest mental health care institutions in the Netherlands. Across eleven specialties, we work with over 4,000 dedicated colleagues to promote recovery, health, and resilience.
Arkin is a network organization in which strategy, collaboration, and innovation play an increasingly important role. The Executive Board receives direct support from the Communications, Legal & Privacy departments, the Executive Secretary, and the newly established Executive Board Office. We are seeking a Manager for that office: a key figure who provides oversight, connects people, and sets the direction and oversees the implementation of support for Arkin’s administrative core.
The position of Administrative Office Manager is a new role created as a result of an organizational change. A new consultation structure is also being established, with decision-making authority being delegated to lower levels of the organization. The Administrative Office Manager plays a key role in successfully implementing these changes.
As Executive Office Manager, you play a key role within Arkin. You are at the heart of the organization, working closely with the Board of Directors, and ensure that strategy, decision-making, and implementation are seamlessly aligned.
You will lead the Executive Office—a team of executive advisors, executive secretaries, and program managers—and be responsible for ensuring the coherence and professionalism of administrative support. You serve as a sparring partner for the Board of Directors and senior management, work closely with other colleagues in the Board’s direct support team, and ensure consistency in administrative processes and the implementation of strategic projects. You also ensure that the Executive Office operates in a future-proof manner.
You combine strategic insight with natural leadership. You know how to translate complex issues into clear processes, frameworks, and results. In doing so, you foster collaboration, ownership, and trust. You are visible, a unifying force, and have strong subject matter expertise: someone who inspires others, provides direction, and delivers results.
In addition, Arkin offers a number of attractive employment benefits:
A Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is a standard part of our hiring process, ensuring that we work together to create a safe and reliable work environment.
Arkin is the leading mental health care provider in the Randstad region, offering 11 specialties. Together, we are experts in the fields of psychiatry and addiction treatment. We are committed to fostering the mental resilience of our clients.

Quality is what matters, time and time again. We therefore encourage employees to continue developing their expertise through comprehensive training programs. We also encourage employees to develop innovative ideas and work them out in multidisciplinary teams. At Arkin, we believe that innovation is essential to keeping healthcare affordable and accessible.
The Executive Office is the administrative heart of Arkin. This is where strategy, decision-making, and implementation come together. You will work closely with the Board of Directors and attend meetings such as executive meetings and strategy days. You will lead a team of 5 program managers, 2 executive advisors, and 2 executive secretaries.
You are successful when the team enjoys its work, there is a clear sense of administrative cohesion, and the administrative office actively contributes to Arkin’s strategic goals.
