At De Horecabond, a union with a labor organization, we work every day to promote fair employment, good working conditions, and recognition for everyone working in the hospitality industry. Within the organization, you will lead the teams responsible for the collective and individual legal advocacy of the members of the Horecabond and workers in the hospitality industry. Drawing on your affinity for legal matters and collective bargaining, you will translate our policies, ambitions, and objectives into concrete work plans, collective bargaining agreements, and collective and individual services. You have significant operational responsibility in this role. You identify trends in requests for assistance and focus on quality, speed, and careful referral.
You integrate the ability to distinguish between the needs of different teams and their members into your leadership style. You know how to bring the professionals within the teams together, strengthen collaboration between the teams and other teams within the organization, inspire them through (legal) content, and foster a sense of ownership on the work floor. You skillfully balance setting structure and boundaries with allowing room for initiatives and input from both the association and the organization. You navigate relationships with tact and possess a keen understanding of governance, organizational culture, and alignment.
In short, your main responsibilities are:
managing two teams (14 employees) in terms of both operations and content, based on team goals and our broader strategic direction, while taking the HR cycle into account;
(sector) translating policy and external developments into concrete work plans, results, and reports for both teams;
an MT role and working closely with colleagues on the MT.
You are a manager with initiative and a people-oriented approach. You are service-minded and understand what employees need (member-focused). You have a strong legal background. You possess a natural sensitivity to political and administrative dynamics, and you are analytically sharp, development-oriented, and open to innovation.
