“True leaders aren’t afraid to help others grow and thrive”
In a world that’s changing faster than ever, we’re looking for a passionate Operations Manager who isn’t afraid of a challenge.
What will you be doing?
Together with the five team leaders from Digitalization & Information Services, Facilities, Finance, HR, and Marketing & Communications, you will help shape the bold direction we have set out in our long-term strategy. This involves both optimizing external collaboration with our partners and further developing internal synergy. By working together effectively, we will make a difference for the organizations that rely on us.
You are not your average manager; your entrepreneurial and innovative spirit makes you an inspiring and knowledgeable sparring partner. Not only when it comes to strategic issues, but also in the day-to-day work of your team leaders. As a member of the management team, you help shape Rijnbrink’s strategic direction and translate that vision for your own Operations Team.
When it comes to change initiatives, you know how to create a positive atmosphere and manage the dynamics involved. You don’t just offer ideas; you also share concrete examples from your own experience of how to encourage innovative thinking and action. As a committed manager, you focus on the development of your team leaders and foster a work environment built on trust and safety.
As Operations Manager, you are responsible for revenue and keep a close eye on the finances. But your role goes beyond just the numbers. You foster collaboration and build strong bonds between teams and employees from different parts of our organization. The common good is always at the heart of your approach and decision-making: the interests of our partners, our organization, our teams, and individual employees. Together, we work to create a thriving and inclusive work environment where everyone can thrive and grow.
You:
The challenges are significant, and the opportunities are even greater. The role of Operations Manager is far from routine and can only be successful if you can make a difference alongside us. To take on this challenge with us, you’ll need the following:
- Academic level of work and thinking.
- A forward-looking vision of business operations as a whole and of the individual functional areas of Facilities, Finance, HR, IT, and Marketing & Communications.
- At least 5 years of experience in a managerial role within an organization, preferably in a hybrid (commercial) client advisory firm.
- A deep understanding of finance and the ability to perform complex analyses to provide a solid foundation for decision-making within the organization.
- Experience in initiating and facilitating organizational development and change processes.
- An affinity for the library, cultural, and educational sectors, driven by a commitment to social responsibility.
We offer:
Rijnbrink is a center of expertise. That’s why we place a strong emphasis on your personal and professional development. We believe it’s important for you to continue growing. On the job, you’ll notice that the focus is on informal learning and the exchange of knowledge among colleagues. After all, that’s how you learn the most. We also invest in relevant education and training within your field. You’ll receive:
- A salary between €5,915 and €7,162 gross per month in pay scale 13 of the collective bargaining agreement for public libraries. This depends on your knowledge and experience.
- Vacation days: You are entitled to 180 hours of vacation time per year based on a 36-hour workweek.
- A year-end bonus of 4% and vacation pay equal to 8% of the gross annual salary.
- Travel expense reimbursement and free public transportation for business purposes, as well as the option to purchase leave hours and/or use (above-statutory) leave hours toward other benefits.
- A fixed-term contract. If both parties are satisfied, your contract will be converted to a permanent position.
- Free access to over 120 online training courses from GoodHabitz.
- Access to our work café, where you can meet your colleagues and make your own barista-style coffee (or tea). And where you can enjoy a delicious, fresh lunch from Bora.
- The option to work remotely. This means that your work determines where you work—whether from home, at the office, or at another location.
- A laptop and a smartphone.
Where will you be working:
Rijnbrink believes it is important for everyone to have the opportunity to grow. Young and old—throughout their lives. So that as many people as possible can participate and shape themselves and our society. Libraries, cultural institutions, schools, and music associations play a vital role in this lifelong development. Because that is where everyone gains access to what makes us human: our language, digital skills, literature, culture, and music.
From our beautiful office in Deventer, we work with and for library organizations, cultural institutions, schools, and music associations. We help them succeed in their social missions, make a difference, and remain future-proof. Together, we develop innovative solutions, services, and programs. In addition, our partners can hire our expertise and purchase services from us. In this way, we are building a culturally and organizationally strong, future-proof cultural sector—and a smart, skilled, and creative Gelderland and Overijssel.
