Erfgoed Gelderland is seeking an Operations & Programs Manager. You will oversee the substantive program areas and ensure that the internal organization operates in a professional, efficient, and forward-looking manner.

Erfgoed Gelderland is a nonprofit organization serving the heritage sector in Gelderland. As a foundation and a cooperative, we provide support and advice to museums, historical societies, and other heritage organizations in managing collections and presenting stories. Our strength lies in our ability to recognize the passion of heritage managers and use it to foster entrepreneurship, collaboration, and self-reliance. Erfgoed Gelderland employs a team of 20 staff members who are capable of working independently and are driven by their passion for the subject matter and motivated to achieve our shared mission: Giving the past a future together.

Erfgoed Gelderland is seeking an Operations & Programs Manager. This is a new, central role within the organization. You will work closely with the Executive Director to ensure that our internal organization operates in a professional, efficient, and forward-looking manner. In addition, you will oversee the substantive program lines and associated projects. You will ensure coherence among them and provide structure. You know how to motivate employees and ensure that systems and processes are well-designed and run smoothly. You will have final responsibility for the operations of Erfgoed Gelderland.

You provide a professional, well-organized, and stable foundation so that the programs can thrive and employees can do their jobs to the best of their ability and with enthusiasm.

You will be responsible for:

• Financial policy and administration

• Human Resources and Employee Development

• IT systems and facilities

• Managing the organization and overseeing internal coordination

• Coordination of all activities, both internal and external

• You will stand in for the managing director in his or her absence

Terms of Employment

The Gelderland Heritage Foundation adheres to the Museum Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is classified in pay scale 13 of this agreement, with a gross salary ranging from €5,000 to €7,000 based on a full-time position (36 hours). Pay is determined based on knowledge and experience.

The appointment is for one year, with a one-month probationary period. The appointment may be converted to a permanent position after one year.
