If you want to experience the cultural vitality of today’s Amsterdam, just step inside OSCAM. At our interdisciplinary museum space in the heart of Bijlmer, we create a platform for creators and perspectives that remain underrepresented in the world of art and culture. We aren’t afraid to tackle socially charged topics, even when they touch us personally. As an accessible platform and open community, we involve both established and emerging creative talents in our exhibitions, contextual programs, and educational activities to inspire our young audience.
As a Business Manager at OSCAM, you will be responsible for the organization’s financial and operational management. Ultimate responsibility for this lies with the Director, to whom you report. You will prepare and monitor multi-year and project budgets and ensure that OSCAM’s financial and personnel records are in order. To this end, you will work closely with an external accounting firm. Together with the Director, you will work on a sound funding mix that will enable OSCAM to carry out its activities in the coming years. You will serve as the point of contact for the various funding sources and, in collaboration with the Junior Curator, handle grant applications and accountability reports. Operationally, you will work with the Director and Facilities Coordinator to optimize our work processes and further professionalize the organization. Finally, you will be responsible for developing and implementing OSCAM’s HR policy.
