As Operations Manager for Health & Well-being (H&W) at Windesheim University of Applied Sciences in Zwolle, you’ll play a leading role in operations within the H&W domain and in coordinating with central operations. You’ll work toward tangible results: ensuring that education and research within H&W are optimally supported by the best processes. As Operations Manager, you create the right conditions, optimize existing policies, implement new policies, and maintain an overview of change. You will guide and encourage collaboration both within and outside of operations—with stakeholders, management team members, domain advisors, and Windesheim’s various departments. You will lead diverse teams and work to make them future-oriented, with the right people in the right places. More specifically, as Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing processes for new zoning plans
  • Implementing the domain’s annual plan and Windesheim’s strategic direction
  • Collaborating closely with operations managers across the entire university
  • The implementation of the digital campus
  • Providing employees with opportunities for professional development and career advancement within the company and beyond
  • Implementing the shift in business operations from an operational to an advisory role

Your contribution

Our new Operations Manager draws a great deal of energy from effective collaboration. This is an absolute must in this role. You also have the ability to think in terms of the core processes of education and research. You maintain a broad perspective and have a knack for translating improvements into effective processes and process implementations. In addition:

  • Do you preferably have a master’s degree in business administration or education?
  • Do you have at least four years of experience in a similar management position?
  • Are you a true people manager?
  • Experience in vocational, community college, or university education is preferred
  • Do you employ different leadership styles, are you willing to make decisions, and are you decisive?
  • Can you approach topics from multiple perspectives and considering different interests?
  • Are you good at unraveling complex issues?
  • Are you a strong sparring partner?
  • And can you get people moving?

As a Health & Wellness Operations Manager, you’ll have a significant impact—on students, the Health & Wellness sector, society, and, by extension, the future. This is a role that comes with a great deal of responsibility and autonomy. In addition, you can count on:

  • A gross monthly salary between €5,401.60 and €6,579.22 (scale 13 of the higher professional education collective bargaining agreement) based on a 40-hour workweek
  • A 24-month employment contract, with the possibility of a permanent position
  • 53 vacation days per year
  • 8% vacation pay
  • 8.3% year-end bonus
