The department is located in a modern wing of the Antonius Hospital Leidsche Rijn. It has 40 beds, 26 of which are designated for clinical detoxification. Approximately 80 staff members (60 FTE) work there. The management team consists of two clinical managers (detox and clinical treatment) and the operations manager.
During a detox admission, clients undergo a 7- to 14-day program focused on support, guidance, and medical care. If necessary, clients are given medication to reduce withdrawal symptoms and prevent complications. The turnover rate in this unit is high. Detox is usually followed by follow-up treatment.
For clinical treatment, clients stay at the clinic for 8 weeks. Here, clients follow an intensive treatment program designed for those who need more support and repetition. In addition to this treatment program, we also offer day programs. Following this, clients can participate in an 8-week, three-day-a-week day treatment program. We also offer a regular 16-week, three-day-a-week day treatment program. All of these programs are available at our facility in Utrecht Soestwetering.
